Submit an inquiry via our main online form. To speed up the quote process, please make sure you’ve filled out and attached our Incoming Spindle form. Once we’ve received your request, a representative will be in contact with you shortly with next steps.
When we receive your spindle, we’ll disassemble it in our Class 10,000 HEPA climate-controlled cleanroom. Each spindle component is chemically cleaned, photographed, and evaluated for overall condition. Once our factory-certified technicians complete the evaluation, you’ll receive a comprehensive report detailing what we found during the evaluation, whether a standard repair or rebuild is required, and which components require replacement or remanufacturing. The report will also include cost and timeline estimates.
Once you approve the quote, we send your project to our in-house rebuild/remanufacturing technicians. If components are replaced rather than remanufactured, we will always use direct OEM or OEM-equivalent parts. Every stage of the rebuild process is tracked in our ISO 9001:2015-compliant quality management system and accessible through our customer portal.
Our team provides any necessary machining, balancing, or rewinding before our complete run-in test. The rebuild project is completed until we know that replaced or remanufactured components meet or exceed OEM specifications and your application requirements.
Superior Spindle’s start-of-the-art facility is expansive (25,000 square feet), allowing us to offer warehousing and storage services at no extra cost to you. We never want you to feel rushed. We’ll keep your newly rebuilt CNC spindle in climate-controlled storage until you’re ready to pick them or have them shipped to your facility.
Superior Spindle supports CNC spindle rebuild projects from most major brands, even obsolete models.
Depending on application requirements and part availability, Superior Spindle can provide upgraded OEM bearings to improve runout and accuracy, high-speed performance, wear resistance, and more.
Superior Spindle offers in-house balancing from our Michigan-based facility. Rebuilt CNC spindles are balanced to tight ISO 21940-11:2016 specifications to reduce vibration and extend bearing life.
If compatible with your spindle model, we can install temperature and speed sensors to support predictive maintenance efforts.
Our technicians can rewind motorized spindles by replacing the copper windings and insulation while retaining the original stator core, rotor, housing, and mounting. We can also repair or replace encoders.

Machining titanium and nickel alloys puts heavy load and heat on spindle bearings that can lead to premature failure. Reduce costs and the hassle of requalifying with a precision spindle rebuild. Every rebuild includes a failure analysis report and documented test results that support ISO 9001:2015 quality records.
Superior Spindle provides cost-effective rebuilds for older CNC spindles no longer supported by the OEM. Depending on when we receive the initial inquiry, we can accommodate your schedule to ensure rebuilds are completed before peak season.
Get better support from Superior Spindle. In high-volume environments, even one machine failure can stall production. We provide timely rebuilds and loaners to reduce downtime, even during seasonal peaks.
When OEM parts are no longer available for your legacy CNC machines, we can reverse engineer and manufacturer components to restore your spindle to OEM spec, helping you avoid costly requalification.
Heavy cuts and interrupted machining can damage tapers, shafts, and drawbars. We regrind tapers to ISO and DIN standards and repair or manufacture shafts in-house.
Rebuilding keeps your machines in production without repeating process validation. Every spindle is assembled in a Class 10,000 HEPA climate-controlled cleanroom to keep contaminants out of the bearings.
Spindle vibration shows up as chatter marks on the mold surface and adds hours of hand polishing. CNC spindle rebuilds with precision balancing reduces that vibration for cleaner finishes on long, high-speed runs.
Replacing ultra-precision spindles is an expensive and slow process. Superior Spindle helps reduce downtime and costs by restoring low runout and vibration through precision rebuilds, and every rebuild is tested for vibration and temperature before it ships.
In a repair, our team is only replacing or fixing damaged components. A complete rebuild involves replacing or upgrading all or most components to ensure the spindle functions like-new. In some cases, a rebuild is required to ensure complete efficiency.
We wouldn’t recommend a rebuild when:
Our rebuilds can take anywhere between 10 and 14 days, depending on part sourcing and remanufacturing lead times. When you submit a request to our team, we’ll provide a detailed cost and timeline estimate.
Absolutely! Superior Spindle maintains an inventory of recertified spindles from most major brands, including Kessler, Theta, and Gros-Ite. While we’re rebuilding your spindle, we’ll ship a loaner replacement to you that meets your application requirements.
Yes. Superior Spindle has 25,000 square feet of storage space. After we’ve rebuilt your spindle, we can store it in our warehouse for as long as needed.
No. Superior Spindle only accepts projects from industrial clients.
